New Season Ready To Begin

With October fast approaching a new basketball season is almost upon us and Miramichi Hoops is ready for another exciting year of basketball.

With October fast approaching a new basketball season is almost upon us and Miramichi Hoops is ready for another exciting year of basketball.  Miramichi Hoops have set dates and times for their programs to begin for the upcoming season.  There will be three preseason clinics for mini girls.  The clinics will take place on October 4th, 11th, and 18th at 1:00 PM at Miramichi Valley High School.  There will be two clinics for players interested in playing mini boy's basketball this season.  They will take place on October 4th and and October 18th at 2:45 PM at Miramichi Valley also.  Mini Clinics are for players born from 2004-2007 and are a chance for players to get some time in the gym before the season starts to work on their game.  There is no cost for the clinics other than the $3 city user fee. Official tryouts for mini girls will take place starting on Saturday October 24th at 1:00 PM.  The boys will have their tryouts on October 25th at 2:45 PM.  Both tryouts will be held at Miramichi Valley.

The bantam boys will start their season on Saturday October 17th at 1:00 PM at Miramichi Valley.  The bantam girls will have their tryouts on Sunday October 18th at 4:30 PM at MVHS too.  Bantam is for players born in 2002 and 2003.

The small ball program will begin on Saturday November 7th at 2 PM at Croft Elementary School.  Small ball is developmental program that introduces children from grades K-2 to the game of basketball.  The program focuses on fundamentals and fun games.  Small ball runs once a week starting in November and finishes in April.
