The Miramichi Pulamoo Girls won the gold medal in Hampton this weekend in Division 5 of provincial championships.
Miramichi Pulamoo Girls win Gold at Provincials
The Miramichi Pulamoo Girls won the gold medal in Hampton this weekend in Division 5 of provincial championships. They won all four games on their way to win gold. In their first game they met Grand Manan. They won the game 48 to 25. Katelyn Hogan was the Defensive Player of the Game and Lauren Simmons was awarded Player of the Game.
In their second game, they met East Saint John. They won the game 39 to 23. Alexis Matchett was awarded the Defensive Player of the Game award and Emily Drisdelle was awarded the Player of the Game award.
In their third game, they met played the home team, Hampton. They won the game 52-37. Defensive Player of the Game was awarded to Hannah Comeau and the Player of the Game was Megan Copp.
The gold medal game was a rematch with East Saint John. The Bantam girls pulled ahead in the second half to win 39-23. Megan Copp was awarded Defensive Player of the Game and Hannah Comeau was awarded Player of the Game.
The team is coached by Carolyn Simmons and Kristen Copp.
