Basketball New Brunswick continues its mission to ensure grassroots programs are a key part of its development and growth moving forwardWith that in mind, BNB is preparing to host its first jamboree for mini-aged players (2003-2004) from across the province to play on the big stage that is the Richard J. Currie Center on the campus of the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton.
The single-day jamboree, designed for boys and girls at the mini divisions from both the competitive and recreational levels will be held Saturday, October 25th.
**All players participating at the jamboree will be placed on teams at the event and play 4x4 games.**
“We want the opportunity to bring teams, players, coaches and parents together for a fun day of basketball,” said BNB Executive Director Carolyn Peppin. “It’s not about who wins and who loses, but it’s about coming to a great facility for the opportunity to start the season on a high note, playing with and against other players from around the province. It’s going to be a very fun day and it’s about celebrating grassroots and youth basketball.”
